hey Dave, do you think you need one of these regression testing packages? Might save you a lot of time solving glitches.

Err yes. I've been writing software long enough to know the procedures. Now I'm working for myself I seem to have thrown all that experience out of the window and am just enjoying hacking again!

The changes I made last weekend were quite substantial resulting in the problems over the last few days.

I'll try not to treat the readers of PH as a team of thousands of beta testers in future

sorry Dave, hope I didn't offend you there - I did actually say 'packages' not procedures. We have the same thing here. Everytime you change a site you have to go through the tedium of checking all the links, validation etc etc - we are looking at some of these automated packages you can get to remove most of this robotic testing....

No offence taken. I don't want to be breaking things every time I 'upgrade'

I've tried the robotic things on the systems I used to work on. We never had any joy as they were too much hassle to configure.
