assuming its a DOS based game (from its age)

Go to > Start > Run

Type in 'Command'

This will give you a DOS window - you should be able to install and run from there.

Change to the Cd-Rom drive (i.e d: )Run the install program on the CD (something like setup or install)
This should copy over the files necessary. You may then be able to run the program but this is unlikely (memory setup issues) . Exit dos (exit) then find the .exe or .bat file the install procedure copied to the drive. Right click this filename and select properties. In the advanced tab click the compatability drop down and select Win 95. Hopefully you should them be able to just double click the file and let XP handle the compatabilty issues.
If this fails google for DosBox.

DOSBox

Google it, Install it, Tinker with it.

I'm off to play more Jazz Jackrabbit.
