Hi all,

I am currently selling my 3200GTM and am going to replace it with a cheap day car to blast the A3 in and then something a bit special for the weekends (suits you sir!)

I am currently thinking about an early bora (prefer the car in general to the younger ones). Any buying tips, advice or general info would be greatly received.

Also, if anyone is interested in mine give me PM.

Hi,

While we both wait for an expert to come along I'll say two things.
Number one is rust. They have a few places that just invite the rot to set in. Check any potential purchase very thoroughly in this regard.
Number two is what-a-fabulous-car.
Here's something to look at for now:

Boras are fabulous cars.
They were overshadowed (wrongly) in the 70s by the Ferrari 365GTB/4 Daytona.
I have known people with Boras, who have loved them.
Trouble is finding one though.
Good luck.

I spent alot of time looking for a good one and gave up after 2 years and purchased a very nice Merak. A lot simpler to maintain and plenty fast enougth to have fun in, and it sounds fantastic with a sports exhaust (cant rember the make).
If only it had another 30 bhp.......

Beautiful.

I believe there's a chap called McGrath (Bill?) who is the man to talk to on Masers.
