I'm trying to find any info on a Dutch rider called I believe Henk Vink who I remember seeing at Santa Pod way back.

I hope I've spelled his name correctly.

Can anyone fill me in with more info?

Thanks

Why don't you just do a web search, there's loads of info out there?

I remember Henk Vink bringing a rocket bike to Blackbushe many years ago. All the press were there waiting to get a photo of it running and, as he cracked it open, it made them all jump and hardly any of them got a photo!! Chuckled for hours over that one!

Henk Vink was close with Sammy Miller.
Too bad they are both no longer with us
Vink's rocketbike ended up in the Feeler/Teboul camp

That's right. I'd heard he'd passed away a few years back.

I remember he used a rather nice American looking van to tow with but cannot find pictures of that anywhere. Will do some further searching.

Hi TM !
I saw Henk on the 2-wheeled rocket in 1986 @ Zandvoort,
(last real dragrace there) and was stunned .
I do not have any information/pix,
but you can try it at the forum of explosion,
the dutch dragracing association (also english spoken there).
There are some "old-timers" and buddies of the late (and great) Henk Vink still active,
so they might supply you with more info and/or pics.
www.explosion.nl is the address, click the dutch flag,
and on the bottom left there is the forum button.

Wasn't the bike on display at the Donington Racing Car Museum sometime ago! I'm sure someone told me it was there on display in the late nineties turn of the century.

I saw him at the Pod, what a machine and what a madman. I swear that when he set of his arms stretched at least a foot, it was like a cartoon caracther where they were catapulted off a cliff, the middle part of their body goes first and then the rest follows.
