Happened again yesterday at Oulton Park. Car runs fine for a couple of laps then it starts to misfire at around 5000 rpm when its got warm. I first noticed it at Anglesey a couple of weeks ago but yesterday it was un mistakeable.

Misfire went away completely for the journey home.

Heard something about the gap in the spark plugs not being quite right. According to my mate another Noble had a similar problem at Bruntingthorpe last season and the boys from Noble diagnosed it at the track.

Anybody know anything?

I had a similar problem about 15 months ago. It was due to a sticky dump valve which confused the ECU. Not sure if you have the same problem but the symptoms are familiar.

Nick

I was at Bruntingthorpe with IanB when he had the problem, he had just picked it up from a service and they hadn't set the plug gaps correctly so it was way down on power, like slower than a std Elise (ducks for cover!). Noble came out and reset them and all was well, don't think he had a misfire so much as just very low power

I get a spluttering around the 5000rpm area too, along with a slight rattle but I'm not sure where it's coming from.

I only had the 1000 mile service yesterday so it's the first day I've started to ventured over 4000rpm.

I'm going to talk to garage tomorrow to see if they know anything about it.
