Im sure this is discussed often, but is there not a good argument for merging a significant number of these forums?

as an example "Jap Chat" seems to have a good atmosphere and regular postings / views / life that it probably wouldnt if it were seperate Nissan / Honda / Toyota / Mazda forums. Plus you get the owners of different cars debating merits etc.

Is there not a good argument for merging some of the slower forums? I mean why not a Yank Tanks forum to get the Vette and Viper guys chatting?

Not full of answers, just commenting that i often find the sheer number of forums makes finding the right people to ask a car questions irritating and difficult...

Perhaps, but I remember the time when the Chimaera and Griffith fora were merged because they are essentially the same car underneath.

Suffice to say, it had to be re-split after a few days and it took us ages to get all the right toys back in the right prams. hehe

The Honda forum was an experiment which I'll review. I agree about Jap Chat. It's the reason that the Porsche forum works well as does the Ferrari/Lambo etc.

Corvette/Viper/Mustang boys don't want to be lumped together though
