Very stupid question about smileys!

I aint PC proficient! How does everyone get smileys and silly icons in the body of their post? Also how do you get extra smiley's i.e. more than the default offered by PH?

when your posting, look to the left, there is a link 'smilies legend' - it tells you what the commands are for certain similies..

like ; and ) =

or : yikes : gives you

If you ever want to know how someone has done something in a post, just hit "quote" rather than "reply" and you can see their code.

When you post on PH, on the left-hand side is a link for "Formatting Codes" and this tells you how to do it.

But this is reliant on the picture already being hosted on the web somewhere.
