I read Clarkson's "I know you got soul" and there were some facts about the shuttle in there.
IIRC it's travelling at over 150 mph by the time it passes the top of the launch tower.
And there's a man sat in a hut at the edge of Canaveral with his finger on a button ready to detonate the Shuttle if it goes tits up.
