Being watching them for the past few weeks... who put a rocket up their ass and why could they have done it at the start of the season?

Legal troubles/uncertain ownership (at times)/change of managers etc.

All of the above affect performance...

Yep, all the legal uncertainties over the owner, and what the FA were/weren't/could/couldn't do to us. It looked for all the world like they would force them to sell Leeds to the first ex- car salesman with a fur coat and big glasses from London to come along. If I were a player I wouldn't be giving my best either, I'd have one eye on the transfer market at the very least.

Then the day came, and all that happened was that Cellino passed over "control" to another member of his family. At that point all the distracting media coverage ceased, and the coach was able to get on with things. I don't read all the news and fan sites, but it seems to me that the core of the team is starting to be the Leeds academy lads. A system which served Yorkshire cricket very well last year.

Maybe if we do reasonably well and have a decent run to the end of the season, Mr Cellino (or which ever member of family is in charge) will be able to commit some money to buy new, and possibly even reasonably good, players. Always assuming that the FA don't find another sub-clause which limits us to spending £2:73p because blahblahblah.

Now 5 wins from 6 league games, 11th in the division! woohoo

Okay, so we are still ninety squillion points away from the playoffs, but 3 more points away from the demotions too! Yet again, when all the political and legal squabbling stops, we actually get the result.

"Inspired, resilient, hard-fought." According to the BBC, that sounds like the Leeds I know.
Delighted with the result yesterday and thinking we're now not that far from being safe (which is a welcome change from the way things were looking only a few weeks ago!). Having said that I saw most of the game on Sky and how we managed to go in ahead at half-time I don't know; for large parts of the first half Boro were all over us and on another day we could have easily been 3-1 or 4-1 down at the break albeit despite all their possession they didn't really create much in the 2nd half and we actually had more clear-cut chances than them. Given they look certain to at least make the play-offs it perhaps suggests we haven't got a massive gap to bridge if we want to mount a challenge for promotion next year; let's hope for a bit of stability between now and the end of this season followed by some targeted investment in the squad over the summer!

Shame the good run came to an end against a club we might actually have expected to beat.

Form since Christmas is still really positive.

And the fking merry go round keeps on turning. Steve Thompson suspended out of the blue and Redders is considering his position as a result. Won't be surprised if he walks, utter shambles of a club.

Is there a little devil somewhere, thinking up new and incredibly evil schemes to screw things up for Leeds? We just get things hanging together, and then out of the blue comes this stiletto-knife to the most vulnerable bits, piercing to the heart of the team.

I don't care if he has porked your Alsatian, sort it out!

You couldn't make it up could you? Our problems will remain unless and until we get owners who a) know what they're doing and b) care about the club. Even though he's not meant to be involved at the moment this has the hand of Cellino all over it and if he's not there already he's soon going to rank with Bates and GFH in the popularity stakes with the supporters. How can anyone look at our results over the last three months and get rid of the Assistant Manager for "under performing"? What a farce....

Seems like Antennucci has a clause in his contract once he hits 12 goals he earns a 2 year deals. Umbers told Redders not to pick him also that he couldn't tell anyone why he wasn't been picked. Redders did tell so to let him know who is boss they sacked ST. Umbers was involved in selling the club to GFH.

Not sure I see Redfearn being around for too much longer either; his position is being made untenable and if has the temerity to suggest as much in public the crazy Italian will probably just use that as an excuse to get rid of him. Meanwhile I see rumours of a Red Bull takeover have surfaced again; not convinced they're anything but that (i.e. rumours) but if there's any substance behind them they'd surely be a far better option than what we have at the moment!

Amazing what a bit of instability does. A man sent off and loose 0-3 at home. How many times can the club keep shooting itself in the foot ? Are there any decent club owners out there ? We go from idiot to cretin to moron.

Just when you thought you had seen it all...

@PhilHayYEP: A strange day at Thorp Arch today. We're hearing that six players have declared themselves injured and unfit to play tomorrow. #lufc
@PhilHayYEP: The six players are Silvestri, Doukara, Antenucci, Bellusci, Del Fabro, Cani. None have travelled to London. #lufc

Set of absolute s.

It's at the stage where you honestly have no idea what could happen next. I hope we field a side of players that have come up via the academy and win. That will send the best message to the pathetic tosspots and Cellino. Side before self you wkers!

I wonder who the ringleader is. You don't just get 6 players, 5 of which are Italian, spontaneously having a bit of a strop. There must be some reason for it, and this can't be doing their marketability any good. Maybe they have had an offer from an Italian club and are looking to be released from their contracts?
