Roof Suggestions?
Discussion
On the back of the TVR Gold Portfolio 1959-1986 book by Brooklands Books, there is a pic of a white M-seres track car with a rather snazzy Union Flag paint job... and it's actually quite tasteful. Doesn't take up all the car, just sort of wraps around the back and sides...
I would avoid doing the roof only...it really would look naff. ;-)
Kris..
Is this some kind of pseudo 70's throw back austin powers sort of thing. Groovy baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are really worried about paint matching then you could always 2 tone the car paint the roof and flanks down to the top of the waistline and the sills a lighter colour than the restof the main bodywork.
a black vinyl roof sometimes also looks ok depending on the original colour of the car.
or then there is the Dixie flag, ahem!!
neil.

Yes it is hahaha! I like some retro things but I am just mad for the Union flag really.
Not really worried about paint match just wanted to consider something different but was worried if it might look a bit rubbish in reality. Where to end the white edge could be a problem though without a roof gutter.
I've just put some small chrome & enamel union jack flags on the front wings of my 1600M, purely to remind and confirm that TVRs were designed and built in Great Britain! I'm not sure that 'flagging' the entire top may be a little OTT though!
Have you thought of applying to the 'Pimp my ride' TV programme?
