? US Fuel Altereds coming to race at SPR in 2007

There are ? four US Fuel Altereds coming to England in 2007 to race at Santa Pod Raceway. They ran at the 2005 Goodwood festival Of Speed, the AA/FAs were Pure Heaven, Pure Hell, Rat Trap & The Bradford Bros. At Goodwood it's only a one track road so they could only run one at a time.

Does anyone know who is coming and when they are coming? Apparently Pure Hell doesn't run anymore!!

Last I heard it was mentioned on dragracingonline earlier this year that Rat Trap, Nanook, Bradford's Fiat and Pure Hell were coming for a European Tour in 2007 taking in England, Sweden & Germany.

I think you're right regarding Pure Hell, it goes to shows and sits in the NHRA museum, which is a real shame

Keep us informed if this is really happening,
I have hopes that germany = Hockenheim,
where I would do my best to announce the beasts.
And since the NitrOlympX are -sadly- not a FIA round anymore,
there is room in the running order for other classes,
like the UK Super Mods, who were invited for the last 2 years.
I was wondering all along why the NFAA wasn´t invited there too,
as one of the promoter´s goals is to provide "drama & exitement" for the fanz.
Awful Awful Fuel Altereds would have them standing on their seats....

I'd love to run the altered at Hockenheim, I ran the junior dragster there a few years ago and the atmosphere was incredible. The germans love big burnouts!

The only thing is logistics, and with a low budget team it's quite a big thing.

bit of an update;

I got an reply email from Randy Bradford and at the moment it is only Rat Trap and Nanook coming over and nothing is 100% decided yet but the full tour of England, Sweden and Germany is still planned

I think Germany will be Hockenheim, which would be an amazing show hopefully for 2007 we will be taking our injected altered too, great place to race, raced my junior dragster there twice

Below is the reply l received from Michelle Read on the Nitromater drag racing forum.

Pure Hell will run in 2007. I hear there will be match ups with Pure Heaven.

Also - spoke to Ron Hope at PRI in Orlando a few weeks back and asked about the European tour in 2007. He said they are still working on the details.

17/18 June SummerNats (SPR)
23/24 June Goodwood FOS
30/1 June/July NSRA Nats (SCR)????
late July (Mantorp)
late August (Hockenheim)

2 of these could be alongside the NFAA

All pure speculation on my part.
BTW they came to Goodwood in 2004, not 2005.

"Legendary Fuel Altered racer Ron Hope told us that he has been talking to Santa Pod Raceway
about bringing Rat Trap and other AAFAs on a visit in 2007 or 2008."
