The word on the street about the 2007 NHRA Season is that Alan Johnson will sign on with Lucas Oil and take over Morgan's Top Fuel team. If that happens, Morgan Lucas will win the Powerade championship next season. Without him, the Sarge would be an also-ran. Melanie's going to the Powers team to team with or be associated with Hot Rod Fuller, and The Snake should hire Adam Sorokin to drive the ? Funny Car, son of the late Mike Sorokin of Surfers fame in the mid-60s. The guy is great and he can drive.

Phil Burkhart is also looking for a ride, and he's an excellent driver.

So what you are saying is that if AJ tunes Morgan Lucas then the Championship is already won before a wheel turns - What Poppycock!

Another US drag racing friend saw Alan a couple of weeks ago at the PRI show in Orlando, he indicated everything was fine in the Schumacher camp but who knows. I assume you know that Gary Densham and Greg are now a team car to Mike Ashley, Morgan and Melanie.

My American drag racing friend heard the rumour second-hand from a guy he knows online who was at the Vegas race. He was told this by some guys who are with the Kalitta camp. He doesn't swear by it, but he believes this guy is reliable enough not to go online and lie about what he was told...but all he can say to validate it is to call it "The Word On The Street"..

My next door neighbour was in the butchers and overheard the meter reader telling the postman that he had heard from "a reliable source" that it may rain tomorrow. If I was a betting person I would not put any money on it raining tomorrow, or for that matter AJ moving camp. I was at his machine shop very very recently and hes not moving camp.

I will leave it up to you which is fact or fiction.

Come on chaps, the silly season started at Indy and finished at Pomona.....

Me old mate, regardless of your undoubted enthusiasm, I personally feel you are starting to spoil this forum.

Everyone else who posts on here is looking for a discussion, none of your posts particularly encourage this, they are just a web blog from else where.

Have a look at the other fora on here an get a feel for whats going on.I dont doubt for a minute you have a yank contacts, but if I was newcomer here and saw that EVERY new post was by you, I would be disappointed. This is not meant to be a personal attack on you per se, more a disagreement on your posting style.

Think chat list as oppose to blog.

What I really want to see here in season, is all the racers discussing what went right or wrong at the last meeting, not a load of far flung blog.

I know and follow the uk scene, and have done for years, and whilst I keep an eye on whats happening over the pond, the Uk is where I live, so is what I and most other fans keep on top of.

Try and think from a RACERS pov rather than a pure enthusiasts view.

Happy new year

I concur. If I want vague rumours about the NHRA I can go to lots of other forums. Given that a lot of UK racers / people involved in UK teams post here, I want to discuss UK, and by extension FIA news. I really don't care about third hand NHRA rumours, but I am interested in what sort of nitro FC fields we'll see in Europe next season, if it will have an impact on top fuel numbers, if there will be any new cars in TMD, NFAA and so on. Following the demise of the Dragsterworld forum, this is pretty much the only place for UK/Eurocentric discussion. Ok, it's off season and there isn't much happening yet, but it's getting tiresome visiting this forum and seeing 8 or 9 essentially pointless postings cluttering the first page THE WHOLE TIME.
