Happy New Year to one and all,
Was looking at a picture of Hakan Nilsson Top Fuel dragsters engine and noticed how far back the blower is set on the engine.Have noticed this on a lot of fuel motors up the Pod and on USA motors in pictures.Does anyone know the reason why? Also while on the subject of tech questions anyone recommend books on the subject?
Cheers John.

John, it's all to do with balancing out what goes on in each cylinder. There's a good article here which explains it in grat detail...

Excellent !!! Everything you needed to know about setback blowers but were afraid to ask.

Ive been fascinated by this innovation since I first saw it at the Main Event.

Cheers.

Saw at the main event for the first time in the 'flesh' as well.Excellent article as well thanks for link.Did anyone see the state of Tommy Mullers blower at the 'The Finals'(if my memory serves me correctly!)which was blown into a dozen bits. Was going to ask the team about blower set back but seamed a bad time to do so!!
