chaps,
I'm thinking of fitting wheel spacers to my 996C4.
Anyone any opinions on these? Are they safe? do they screw up the handling? etc.
comments welcomed.
thanks
Neil

For what reason??

On certain cars with aftermarket wheels, small spacers are required and are safe. for example, if you put BBS LMs on a GT3 MKII you need small (5mm or 7mm iirc) spacers on the front wheels. What did you have in mind?

pure vanity I'm afraid. Just to fill out the arches a bit.

Hmm - I'd be inclined not to bother, it will change the effective offsets of the wheels and will probably change the handling and could cause problems when the car is on full steering lock or suspension travel (on arches).

If you want the wheels to fill the arches a bit more, you could investigate getting the suspension set up a bit lower to the ground??
