Potential Tiptronic issue?

Good afternoon gents,

I be grateful for your advice with regard to a potential problem I'm having with my 1998 996C4 Tip. When I start the car from cold, and select Reverse gear, it seems to engage with quite a clunk. Once warm i.e. after lets say 20 minutes drive I go through the same exercise from a standstil and reverse engages no problem. Do you think a change of gearbox oil may be the solution?.

check the rubber joint between the output shaft for the front prop shaft see if its worn excessivly as it maybe taking up the slack first.
