996 servicing

Hi,

can someone tell me if its every 12 months or a certain amount of miles (i.e 12,000) I just had a thought as I have done nearly 12,000 since i got it 7 months ago

thanks. I have had a minor one 12,000 miles ago so I am not sure if I need a major or another minor as it says 24,000 for majors !!! lol

as BC says, you need a service every 12k or 12 months, whichever comes soonest.

You need a major service every 24k (so it goes, 12k minor, 24k major, 12k minor... etc), and the 48k/4yr service is a biggy.

if you had a minor service 12k ago, then yes, this will be a 'major'.

however, there is a difference between a 24k major and a 48k major, so that entirely depends on your cars age/mileage. Have a look in your service book as well, as they tend to mark the 48k services.

Ok thanks, major it is then . Its done 69,000 miles although it had a new engine at 42,000
