For a while now the windows on my 996 cab have been squeaking like billy-oh as they rub against the various rubber to glass seals, especially and most noticeably the big one between the rear of the front side window and the front of the rear side window.

When I lubricate them with spit (don't ask !!) the squeaking stops so I guess I need a proper lubricant to effect a more thorough job.

I know (not from experience of course!) that vaseline rots rubber, so is there any sort of silicone-type stuff that I should buy and apply ?

Apologies for the double-entendres, but in our village at least the pantomime season is still upon us !

I seem to recall that a light dusting of talcum powder is supposed to stop seals squeaking ?

Go to a plumbers merchant.

Buy a small pot of silicone grease.

Apply sparingly to all glass/rubber interfaces.

(Edited to change surface to interface!)
