hi all,

i´ve got a problem...the roof of my V8s is damaged :-(
is it possible to change only the fabric and is it advisable?
i removed the fabric already and i have got a bad feeling when i think about installing a new one...
does anybody have an idea where i can order
a new one from germany and how much it costs?
or is it perhaps better to change the roof completly?
whats the price of a complete roof?
thanks for your help!
peter

(sorry for the bad english...)

Dunno about the price for an entire roof, but Autohoods.co.uk can supply you the material, I don't know if you mean the roof panels or the fold down bit but both are priced here.

thanks for information!
mean the fold down bit - did you ever change this thing or did you hear something about this?
is it very difficult to fit it in the right position?

I haven't replaced mine YET .... I do intend to, but need to find someone to fit it locally (Im in Northern Ireland), Otherwise I need to spend a few days in England to get it fitted.

There are others on the forums who have used autohoods services, I'll have a quick look for the threads.

Here found one....

I have removed the folding section to have the plastic screen sewn back in. (The stitching rotted as I use it all year round)There are 4 or 5 bolts which go from the rear shelf down into the boot. Remove these and you can lift of the padded section below the rear screen insode the car. Next pull off the weather strip that runs around the 'rollover bar bit' and gently pull the fabric off, pulling from the back of the car toward the front. To replace it altogether you will need to get all of those little creases in the right place. Good Luck!

Why didnt you just take the hoop off instead of peeling the fabric off?, its dead easy.
