i know its early but it wont be long now till i get my car sorted and will be wanting to go out on some runs.

was thinking last night that it would be cool if we could have a monthly meet and drive out throughout spring and summer and really enjoy our cars.

the plan is to meet up on the first sunday of every month at the tesco carpark at macclesfield, then go on a set route each time which will allow people to get used too the route and learn the roads. finishing point will be the cat and fiddle pub. should have time todo the run twice each time at it should only take about an hour todo

at the end of the day we can head into buxton for a chill and a few drinks then head our seperate ways.

if your interested then add your name, the car you drive aswell as where you will be coming from onto the list below. this will enable us to see the variety of cars coming aswell as arranging mini convoys down to the meeting point.

just to wet your whistle a little heres a couple of vids of the roads we will be going on.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2jy5khaUVM

First run is taking place on the 4th of march, there will be several convoys from different areas too the main meet point. These are .......

Chesterfield - meet at the tescos near the recycle bins at 10am for a 10:15 depart.

Belper - Meet at the excavator at 9:30am, then running up too the meet in chesterfield.

Stoke - meet out side halfords at festival park at 10am for a 10:15 depart.

Mascrat manor - meeting at 10-10:15am stopping off for fuel along the way.

Maybe up for the occasional blast, I went between Christmas and new year got there early enough to have the top down before the rain, the road is not as long as I thought it would be but awesome fun, got up to some naughty speeds.

I would just worry about how congested it would become in the summer!

The cat n fiddle can be quite busy from 730am onwards, but there's lots of overtaking places and the A54 is usually much quieter!

Ps, Alex, add me!

added.

all the roads we will be going on have plenty of overtaking places so your bound to have a nice run memorable run at some point during the day. plus it gives us a nice routine to get out in the fresh air and meet some decent people.

I'd be up for it, as long as I'm not busy then.

I'll be coming from Stockport and would be either in my Westfield, S1 106 rallye or Porcshe 924.

I'm fairly sure one of my mate's would come as well in his MR2 GT.

Hi, I went on the last Pistonheads one a few weeks ago.

I'd be interested again, but is this actually a pistonheads run, or an MR2 one, as the list of cars seems to have an MR2 bias!!

The last one was great with a huge mix of cars, Jap ones in the minority.

Scottie - 200sx - St Helens

the problem is ive put this on imoc (mr2 owners club aswell and im regretting it.

really want to have a nice diverse selection of cars and will deff not be posting it on there again.

at the moment im considering putting a stop too any more mr2s coming but not sure yet.

im a big fan of any performance car and really want to get close too asmany different cars as i can but feel at the minute the amount of mr2s will put people off and make it look like a shitty cruise which its not.

any thoughts or suggestions fire away

kind regards

alex

ok ive put a stop too mr2s coming on the mr2 forum at the moment as i dont want loads coming and putting people off.

basically im trying to get a nice range of cars coming like the runs burnie does as it all helps make more interesting.

im sure i wont be very popular with people on the mr2 owners club
