"Is that normal, is it nerves, or just a high sense of expectation? "
I think it's normal in every modern ground I've been to
yes nerves play a big part
and as for a high sense of expectation the exact opposite- we fully expect things to go tits up, it's in the genes
Glad you enjoyed the match

Also going tomorrow night, taking my son who's a huge Bayern fan. He'll be the small boy in the South Stand being told to keep bloody quiet by his dad
What's the parking like around the ground by the way? Would like to make a reasonably quick exit to get back to Leicester as it's a 'school night'.
There's loads of parking around the ground - mostly on industrial ground nearby. Much of it is on Croft Street. As you get nearer, you'll see loads of people in hi-vis coats trying to usher you in. Assuming you will be coming from the Aston-u-Lyne exit (J23) of the M60 and heading west down Ashton New Road (A662), the road will be mostly straight. It bends to the left and you will see a large Asda ahead on the right. Try to get in somewhere on the left after the bend. Whatever you do, don't go past Asda and over the crossroad with Alan Turing Way (A6010) - often the police shut the crossroad after the match. What's the parking like around the ground by the way? Due to traffic I ended up being a few minutes late, coming in from a different direction and parking bang opposite the ground. This was great as it meant we had a very short walk and only missed the first 5 minutes, but crap at the end when it took me almost 45 minutes to get the other side of that crossroads!
Glad we went though, great last 5 minutes!
My son showed the fickleness of a young supporter by having become a City supporter by the time I picked him up from school
Which brings me on to the City supporters. This may just have been isolated to where I sat, but I'm surprised in a big European game where previous success has been limited, how much they get on the players backs when things aren't going right. Apart from the Munich supporters the ground was a lot quieter than expected until the 85th minute when Aguero's 2nd goal went in. I expected the place to be rocking and creating the 12th man, but it wasn't. Is that normal, is it nerves, or just a high sense of expectation?
Nice ground though, and the standard of football was a bit better than I watched at Leicester vs Sunderland on Saturday. Only slightly better though
We have never had anything like the Maine Road atmosphere since moving here, and even after tis length of time cannot see it happening either, away games are always a good craic, as they always were.
Since the money arrived and we bought in some fantastic players we could only dream of beforehand, the fans have become very tedious IMO, instead of encouraging and getting behind the players they want to pick at every minor issue, beforehand we used to have a laugh during the game, now the fans are on edge, I remember 1 game pre money when 1 of the lads kept taking his boots because he said he would play better than half the st were watching, funny watching him berate the manager down the line.
I don't think that's entirely true. I think that since you rarely go, you're not exactly qualified to give an accurate opinion on the atmosphere today
However, there was more atmosphere at Maine rd and this certainly changed when we moved to the Etihad.
However this was pre money and started when people found themselves sitting amongst unfamiliar groups of people in a much bigger stadium.
I think one of the biggest causes though is how football itself has changed over the last 20 years.
I still see plenty of familiar faces but we're all older with families now. Because of ticket prices there don't seem to be anywhere near as many youngsters there as there used to be, and they're generally the ones who like to make a noise.
As I've got older, I don't really like to spend my game with my back to the game, singing non stop. I like to sit (not stand) and watch the game. I've always seem to be near experts who want to moan all game.
I think this is a common situation at many modern grounds.
Having said that though, I've been at the Etihad at some very noisy games in recent years

I thought the score reflected City's dominance of the game, especially the first 20 minutes.
Sergios yellow card was a disgraceful decision by the ref, we should have got a penalty and it would have been 0-1.
The midweek win seems to have boosted confidence and Toure seems to be regaining his desire.
I'd be getting edgy if I was Maureen

4-6 months for Aguero according to whoever Onda Cero is.
Quick google suggests they are Spain's no.2 radio station and I'd suggest they don't know any more about the situation than you or me I've heard nothing on the radio or the web to say it's true, though obviously it may end up that way. The club have said they'll know better in 3 days.
