I have an OPC warranty arranged by an indy when I bought the car. In terms of documentation I have a "glossy" 4 or 5 page leaflet describing the warranty in broad tersm, but no "small print" or policy document. Is this correct? If so, does that mean you have to rely upom the dealer to advise you if something is or isn't covered, rather than being able to read the policy details yourself.

TIA.

Porsche Reading will send you documentation.

Mine arrived a couple of days ago.

Automatically? Or do I have to request it? Bought the car in September...

Mine got sent to me within weeks of having the car. I don`t recall chasing them or sending them anything - the dealer may have? But you should have received it by now.. get on the phone !!

I had to send payment to them. They then sent back my receipt and a load of bumpf. Not sure how it works if your dealer has paid for the warranty. One would assume that he has sent your details along with the application.

I'd be worried.

Ring OPC and ask them to check if you're covered.

Normally it's YOU who buys the 111 point check and the warranty.

Was the warranty already on the car when the dealer bought it? If so, it's invalid.

When I received my warranty which was arranged through a private sale and by the seller, I was sent a booklet. On the inside front cover you should see your details + chassis number filled out by hand and rubber stamped by porsche. Not quite what i was expecting after having forked out £725... i guess the OPC is saving it's money when it comes to the repairs

Yes that's indeed what I have - and "I" bought it. I was just expecting more detail - like an insurance policy.

That's all I have .. Despite repeated attempts to get more details .. But in the end , when I had a warranty issue , it was sorted post haste and I haven't bothered my arse getting any more bumph since then ... No worries , you're covered!!

A few days later and a Porsche Assistance pack turned up.
