I'm looking for an S1 Elise - max budget is 12.5k, but I rather spend more like 11.5k.

not worried about having to do a bit of work on it.

any thoughts on what I could get at that price?

14 on Autotrader in that price bracket (I'd search PH but YOU CANT SEARCH BY PRICE TED!)

You should get a nice car but it will have high miles. You might also be able to buy one that's had a knock in the past perhaps (as long as its benn thoroughly sorted!)

Good Luck...

I'm just about to sell my 97R Elise for £11.5k. It's done 41,600 miles, mechcanically sound, and I've just given it a nose respray to remove stone chips. Plenty of others for around the same price.

my bit of the company does engine testing and development.
Automotive's the wrong business to be in at the moment...

sounds like the kind of thing I'm after - could you let me know a few more details - colour, fsh, number of owners, location?

edited to check - are you in the process of selling or have you just sold it?

well.....
picking her up tonight, so getting any work done today is going to be difficult!

1998 S1 in pearlescent yellow
needs a few bits and pieces doing - one sill skirt is a bit manky, rear tyres are crap, needs a B services.

no mods (at the moment), but that may change, as I have access to a very low mileage 160PS VVC engine...
but I'll drive her as standard for a while before thinking about more power....

can't wait!
