Hi mate i had this exact problem, you need to buy some carb cleaner and take the intake tubing off (just before the inlet manufold, at the top right hand corner of the bay)and give the throttle butterfly a good squirt at the top (as it should be slightly open, in at the top, out at the bottom)Just wait to see all the crap come flowing out!! Dont try to move the butterfly with you fingers as it's controlled by small motors and will be £££ if you break em. Also do this with your engine turned off. Then Put the intake pipe back on and start your car, it will be a little lumpy at first, but your problem should then be fixed. Do it asap as you've probably notice your breaks go when the engine stalls!!! Also the engine revs will not drop like a stone when you come off the power, and coming up to junctions etc.
