Racing tires what is the max speed?

Over the past few years there's been an ongoing saga about the Goodyear fuel tyres ever since production was moved outside of the US. Tyres were chunking up and delaminating leaving large exposed areas of carcase after even only one run there were even cases of this happening to the frontrunners which are under much less stress.
There is an ongoing legal situation in the US which I don't think needs any further comment although it does seem that the tyres being used now, the latest design (2420 I think) that are shoulderless when compared to the older 1430 types are much more stable than they have been in recent times. Of course this must also take into account the drop from 90% to 85% nitro the decreased wing angle (thus less down force applied to the tyre) and the MSD rev limiting technology which has been introduced by NHRA in order to keep speeds down and keep their insurers happier no doubt.
I would think that "rating" a top fuel/fc tyre in the conventional way would be pretty pointless as the stresses on the tyre are produced by the accelerating forces, friction against the track, downforce, and other variables rather than just the weight and speed in a conventional application, although I've heard it rumoured that as the goodyear is the NHRA spec tyre, that the governing body ask for it to be 350mph capable

Vehicle speed and tyre speed are, of course, not necessarily the same thing...
