Thinking of getting another 996 TT. One of the things I didn't like about the last one was the lack of noise. So...if I get another, what's the best sports exhaust to get? Oh, and how much?

Cargraphic & Tubi seem to stand above the rest, you are looking at about £3k, because they include the cats & this is where the power gain comes from 100/200 cells. Beware some of the louder systems as they make the car sound like a tractor at low revs & the resonance inside kills you!
Personally I would hang out for a used example with low miles, as they don't really add 3ks worth of experience, you can find them around £1k used, if you are prepared to wait!

Supersprint are also worth considering. Not over priced or over hyped, massive company with huge resources which 9 times out 10 actually give a power gain.

wouldnt say they were unsurpassed to be fair. not sure that they are either tuv approved or iso9001 compliant. however, I would say that buying an exhaust system can be different for everyone depending on what people are after. best to go and hear a few!

So where would such a thing be advertised...on here? Ebay?

I took advice from my local OPC technician & they found me a system off another customer! When I moved out of the TT I sold it via Porsche Club GBs Website! But I have seen a number over the months, as you suggest mainly on PistonHeads, also Ebay, but also PCGB, Stuggart 9's & 911 UK who's websites all have for sale sections.
Best of luck, but be 100% sure to keep the original system as well, as some OPcs wont retail a car with an aftermarket system!
