I was passing Chiswick centre this morning and spied what I though was a GT3 .. Looked very fetching if I may say so ... Then I realised it's exhausts weren't centered (and there was no 'smilie' under the bonnet)...

So I assumed I'd seen my first 997 C2 with full GT3 kit on.

Got me thinking .. a base price for the c2s is £68k , the GT3 is circa £79k.
By the time you've put a bit of spec AND thrown the GT3 bits on , it's not going to be far off the baseline GT3 price.. And seeing as the '3' is being hailed as the first roadworthy racer (with it's PASM) , why the @*!$ would any one bother with a sheep in wolves clothing??

Was in there today and it is an aero kitted 997 (could be wrong but I think its a 997C4S). Not a great fan.

Also have a 997 Targa in there that actually looks quite nice.

.

Tonbridge Porsche have a C4S with full Aero kit - looks OK, but I think it still says GT3 wannabe...........

I noticed that this car has the 'S' from C4S in red, whereas my C4S badge is all the same grey colour - is this the new standard, or an option ??

dead right. seems a bit pointless to chav a car up to a point when its almost the same value as the thing you are trying to immitate!!

Some people like the looks, yet need the practicalities that a GT3 can't provide.

Forgot to say that Chiswick also has a 997 Carrera (non-S) in a colour I've never seen on a Porsche before. Kind of a dark red/brown/burgundy shade. Just checked on the Used Locator and unfortunately there's no pic but the colour is officially called Carmon Red Metallic. Definite love it/hate it colour but I thought it looked great.

Cardiff OPC have a Carrera C4S with GT3 bodykit. Its in Speed Yellow but is about £87K!

They also had a white 997 GT3 with black wheels which really looked amazing.

This the Cardiff C4S - I was rather taken with it when I snapped these photos on my phone

It's been there a long time though (not surprising at that price) - These pictures were taken ages ago.
