There's a tiny tunnel in Cattle Market Rd in Bristol or is that the one you mean?

Ooh, great minds think alike.

Further afield, theres the Beaminster tunnel between Crewkerne and Bridport, that must be 150 yards long....

I know that one. The old V8S used to be taken through there occasionally - forgetting to change up out of second whilst doing so!

You'll be glad to hear that still happens from time to time.

Other tunnels around bristol....round the back of temple meads, in St Philips, round by Vauxhall, the second one along the railway line is good fun...i.e, past vauxhall on right, under first tunnel, immediate right turn, next right is a another, out of that tunnel, turn left and you have another. there are a few more but cant remember them at the moment

Much further afield is the Brynmawr Tunnel by Junc 27 of the M4 but that involves Bristolians investing £5.10 in a toll ticket across the Severn Bridge and of course having to trek to Wales too.

Theres quite a wide bridge ( 2 x railway tracks at least ) at the bottom of Stapleton Road in Easton but we're talking more bridges rather than tunnels really.

the one at the bottom of stapleton road isn't much...i know, have tried when we've gone through...it's a tad too high and not long enough for any fun

there are (if i rememeber rightly) 2 out thornbury way....they go under the motorway.....one of them is out near Tytherington....the one up br cribbs causeways isnt too bad, but the thronbury one is better and less traffic around

Oi! That's one of mine! Even better (lower and longer):
1. Between Itchington and Thornbury (and NO traffic) - you'll need a map;
2. Between Olveston and Lower Almondsbury. driving

Oh I know number 2..... The Tytherington bridge under motorway is good too, seems lower that most, like the Temple meads tunnel.

Under the galleries is good but too close to the police for my liking. Only good when in the Mini in first to 30mph, least you are under the limit.

there is of course the Saltash tunnel. There are specs cameras and it is a 30, but I have been told they aren't in operation yet, and that if you change lanes they can't track you. Haven't been brave enough to try a blast through though

We've had great fun touring round the tunnels in Bristol on several occasions. I haven't a clue where they are though - I've only just got it in my head about getting into the city centre! The rest is a total maze of concrete.

Bristol run sounds like fun but I'm not a TVRCC member. Used to be for years when I didn't have a Tiv though.
