Rear stubs are no longer available new, its a scrap yard job. 1989 Ford Granada 2.9

I can probably source new screens - or you can just buy a sheet of 4mm polycarbonate from screwfix and use your existing screen as a template...

Do you mean a glass one or the perspex? If it's glass you want then it's just an 'S' screen, available from Ricky Evans Motorsport (www.heatedwindscreen.com/). I know they fit (in an approximate TVR sort of way) as I had to get one as I put a wee crack in the corner of the old one. You can have the old one if you want for the price of a pint or two...but you'll have to work out how to collect it as it's a wee bit big to post.

It's in decent nick and would appear almost new (laminated and TVR logo'd) apart from my ham-fisted removal. The crack's just in a corner and way out of the field of view, but as I am going down the SVA route I thought a screen that was 100% a-ok would be better...just in case. Let me know if you want it; I can take a photo of the crack, but I'm not home again now until the weekend so it'll be then before I can do anything.

Will pick a sheet up

Re: the stub axles - thought that was the case, but just wanted to see if anyne had a set laying around.

Cheers Jon

btw - does it have to be clear or can I run with a tint?

The screen cuts from a flat sheet ok, I've had my screen out and its flat when unscrewed from the windscreen.

you want hard coated or teflon coated polycarb, or it will scratch to buggery when you put the wipers on

Try the following link:

I've just ordered a full set of Polycarb screens for my Tasmin. The front screen will be hard coated to prevent scratching from wipers and circuit debris.

what price did they give you on the taz screen I still need one for topless, I could do with one for the tuscan as its crazing a little but i may have to live with it.

Hi Guy's
Contact these people

www.plastics4performance.co.u

The front screens for the later tuscans (The open top cars) start at £280.00 and this is for a 5mm LEXAN MARGARD fully thermoformed screen, we also do these in 6mm if required ,with the Black obscurity band applied the total cost would be £310.00 + VAT for the 5mm Thick margard screen..

Not sure on screen price alone Graham, I didn't get a breakdown but I ca tell you that its costing me £470+ the dreaded for front, rear, and four side screens including driver side letter box. They can deliver withi two weeks. I'm ot entirely sure if they have Tuscan race car templates but it's worth a try, they do have many types.

Heard a rumour that you were sharing your drive with the father-in-law this season Mark - is that right?

Why would the screen need to be thermoformed when a flat sheet does the job perfectly adequately and was what was supplied originally by TVR?

I spoke to raceplastics today and there screens are less than half the price of plastics4performance. However there not thermoformed. Will this be a problem. I cant see any obvious problem?

There will be no problem. I am competing with the race plastics screens this season for the first time but I do not that people in our series have been racing with their screens for a good few years.

Wedgeman...........that's just a rumour and not to be believed!

The screen would need to be thermo formed if it had curvature in two directions (e.g. like the rear screens for the Sagaris). The front screen fot the Tuscan racer only curves in one direction so a flat sheet does the job.
