If you've ever fancied taking part in some cheap and safe motorsport then why not come along an play in the UK Street Racer championship in 2007? All you need is a quick road legal car with current Insurance, Tax and MOT and you can join in the fun. You must run street legal tyres and a silenced exhaust but that's it as far as rules go; any number of engines power adders are allowed! Competitors have run in anything and everything from kit cars to RS Escorts to Muscle Cars, Hot Rods and modern Japanese supercars - variety and creativity is the name of the game and the 1/4 mile is a great leveller.

The events are held on Peak Performance days at Santa Pod and Avon Park so there isn't the huge queueing that is normal at RWYB days - that's why the series was started. The website lists points and reviews each round; you'll need a car that runs low 9s or high 8s to win, but it's the taking part that counts! With the extra track time available, it's also alot easier to get the best out of yourself and your car. There's a prize fund and trophies for the top 3 plus other special prizes award for most improved etc. Membership to the series costs just £50, and the entry fees for each round are about the same too. The events that aren't on Peak Performance days are held on show weekend such as the Yank American weekend, Mopar Nationals, and Modified Mania where alot of us camp out overnight and soak up the atmosphere together.

Go to the above website for full details.
See the below link for the dates for each event this year.
