Just got off the phone to Leven... they ARE going to do the stalks for the S!

No word on cost just yet, but lets face it... nowt in their catalgoue is eyewateringly expensive... so here's hoping!

Anyway... purpose of this thread is to help Leven confirm what functions are on your S... so please state your model (S1, 2, 3, 4, V8S) and the functions on your stalks!

Model: S3c

Left stalk: Indicators, main beam, horn
Right stalk 1: wipers - 2 positions up, 1 position down, screen washer
Right stalk 2: side lights, headlights

As per the existing arrangement. I've been assured that they can "do" active ends...!

Some of their products are based on the Ford Focus stalks I beleive... which have active ends and rotating rings (variable wiper speed)...

I haven;t heard anything on gear knobs... but then I quite like my wooden one! Think it might be a case of measuring the thread and giving them a call!

I've been asked by Leven if they can borrow mine to measure it up / pull it apart etc etc. This should be happening in the next few weeks.

No idea how long machining takes though... but as I get any info I'll pass it on...!

OK cool... who's going to stick a spanner in the works then? Bound to be SOMEONE with a different arrangement!

Looking good so far though! - which will make life easier for Leven!

cool

for the record, same arrangement as yours

surely TVR didnt allow a part of the S to remain the same throughout its life

Podie..

S3C, same arrangement as yours..

This can't last, TVR just aren't this consistent..

Gear knobs were more of a problem.. Last I heard there were several thread sizes which makes manufacturing difficult. Can't make a single pattern you see.. I've a shiny knob, but not sure where it came from..

So, switches?

IIRC they were trying to fabricate a collar that would fit all sorts of sizes...

1990 S3 - Same as everyone else's.

I put it down to inertia on the part of TVR in just carrying on buying same Escort assemblies from Ford.........

I'd certainly be interested in some - altho' would just make the rest of the car look dog eared..
