which spec 156 do i have?

i recently bought a 156 SW, from an independant dealer.
it there any easy way to determine which spec the car is?

i.e. whether its Lusso, Veloce, and with which options ( seats, suspension pack)??

I have a sales book at home with the lists of differences and what you should expect to see. How old is it too?

you around? didnt manage to get pics, but i have-
leather seats, red dials(rev,speedo, time etc), green illuminated switchgear(windows etc), leather steering wheel,

i think that this means veloce spec? is there any way to determine whether the optional self levelling rear suspension pack has been fitted?

How old is it?
Does it have side skirts?
if it's a pre face lift interior;
Does it have a carbon effect dash, a flat dull grey or a fake wooden one?.
2 or four electric windows?

My Veloce has the leather and the carbon fibre effect, but skirts and wheels should also be part of it - the Veloce wheels are the telephone dial ones with the rounded edges on the circles, not the sharp flat edges.

Seats? ... Check.
Wheels?.... Yep, go them too....

Vented discs (which need replaced... anyone recommend somewhere online to buy?)
2.4 jtd engine
Leather upholstery
4 electric windows
fake carbon dash
Red dials ( i think means veloce?)

how would i know if it had the 'heavy load' rear suspension?

Depending on it's age it's a Veloce (with leather trim) or a Sport Pack 2.
Basically the same thing, they just changed the name of that equipment level around 2000/2001 ish. It may say it on the V5.

The Nivomat self levelling suspension was an option. The dampers look different from normal ones but without having a normal one to compare it to I can't really help!! Try filling the boot full of paving slabs and see what happens when you drive off.


Try EB Spares, AlfaShop or Shop4parts for brakes and other parts. (Do a Google).

I had a Veloce 2.4 Wagon and loved it. Great cars. Enjoy it.

Rick your loosing it in your old age...

Sport Pack 2 had Cloth Recaro's, Sport pack 3 had momo Leather.

All the sport pack's were overtaken by the Veloce model name in spring 2000.

Yup, got the Momo stitched leather here. It says so on the seats *grin* but ours is a 2001......
