British Grand Prix (F1 ~ 2007)

Has anyone been to silverstone for the grand prix and camped for the weekend?

Thinking of doing the GP this year and making a long weekend out of it.

was a few years ago though, when Damon Hill was racing, one of the best weekends ever, but I'm easily pleased, a great atmosphere in the camping area, was just a big field though, no washing facilities and toilets were naff. And I won't tell you about our tent disaster either

ok i will...travelled 2hrs to get there to find out we had brought the wrong poles for the tent, so at 0100hrs 2 of us drove back to get the right tent, and the others made a makeshift tent out of what they had, only for it to rain that night and for them to get flooded I think you probably had to be there though

I had fun, although Damon didn't even finish
