I'm binning a tatty yellow hardtop 1979 1500 o/d Spitty in the next week or so.

whats the rear screen like? more importantly the window seal, i been trying to track one down for donkeys.

Is it a hard top only car, or does it also have a soft top?

My hood was kniffed a few months back and the car is going in for some major restoration post Le Mans... and I don't really want to drive to Le Mans/back with the hard top on! ^_^

I'll do my best to post a few pics.

The rear screen and seal are in good condition, the hardtop has opening rear quarters.

The soft top if I recal is ripped, I will try and open it up today to check.

Where abouts is the car? i could absoloutly desicrate it for parts, in the middle of rebuilding a 1500 at the moment.

well from what i can see i want:

Rear hardtop window seal
Rear window
Steering Wheel
Center Dash panel
Rev Counter
Door Handles (outer)
GearStick With overdrive switch
The Twin Su carbs

unfortunatly im in edinburgh, i do have an aunty in st annes.

Will take those off for you, I can deliver locally.

Didn't mention before, but cylinder head is off ,cleaned with valves reseated. Also have new shoes and poss. wheel cylinders if anyone is interested.

if no one else wants it i'll take the cylinder head, even though i have three.

other things would be the ignition coloumn switches for the wipers and indicators, they come off in two parts. also would take the petrol tank. But don't go to too much bother. Just whatever comes off easily.

do you want money for these bits?

i'll get in contact with my aunt and see if she can hold them for me to collect.

wee bit of a dramatic change in circumstances im affraid, im selling my spitfire and hence won't require the parts anymore im affraid, sorry if its been any hastle mate.
