on a motorsport high!

Just back from Germany, did my first bit of real racing!-A 4 hour VLN race in a 2003 Clio Cup.
I had the experience of a lifetime. The unforgiving, wonderful track, the violent speed, the fun, the amount to learn, the other cars, the other drivers, the fans. The impacts on the car were so severe that at times my vision stopped working! I had massive oversteer at 7200rpm in sixth(banging off the rev limiter)! Thankfully I didn't have both experiences at the same time!
For anyone who asks why the word sport is found in motorsport, they should go see a VLN race.
Oh yeah, I did OK too, 10:16 fastest lap on my first attempt, cars first VLN race and my first time to see the car, on average each lap was 2 seconds quicker than the last. Loads of driving refinements and track knowledge to gain!
Target for the next 2 years is 9:53 fastest lap, and 10:00 all day long lapping.

thanks lads!Appreciate the feedback! I'll look out for your cars and come over for a chat!
yes my first pure race. I did a few Castrol Haugg Cup events at the ring last year in a fab mid 80s bmw 3 series. Sold that and decided to use the money to buy a part share in the clio for the vln. I'm not financially well off and I wanted to be competitive, so an old clio made sense. So now I will race when funds allow, and funds might just allow the race at the end of this month.
