Road cars just aren't extreme enough. I've been thinking about a group c/le mans style racer for a while now. Lightweight, well balanced, handles, low centre of gravity, an engine that doesn't cost 30k+ (I'm looking at you porsche, and you ferrari, was quoted 40k to get 700hp out of a porsche 930 - rediculous).

Anyway, I was thinking of a twin turbo Lexus v8, or maybe a 7 Litre LS1. Either would be REAL bad . The Lexus is probally the practical option though (I'm in Austalia). These engines are VERY cheap (a bit over 1k US), and produce insane amounts of power for stock. Toyota engines have to be the strongest out there....look at the 2JZ-GTE (Supra TT).

Also revs nice'n high. Bit more exotic than a chevy growl (as evil as it is).

Colour I'm thinking either a bright but rich/deep blue, with silver rims, or maybe a purple with gold rims. Hey, maybe even a tinted metallic green (I know what most of you are thinking, but with the right shades, could look pretty good).

Now comes the most expensive part...the number plate. Someone else in New South Wales has the number plate ND4SPD and I want it.

I'll get a kit, but have it built up for me. For me, the enjoyment is thrashing it around, not building it . 89k is a bit much for a roller...must be those UK labour rates.

That green is really starting to grow on me...
