Will be, first Sunday of the month.

Is it possible to bring the meeting time forward by an hour though as it makes a huge difference in the amount of traffic out and about!

May 13th is the proposed date for the 'Midlands' Sunday service (In the South probably.)

Could be a few convoying down to that.

Was it you that expressed an interest in XR2's on the last one? I spoke to the chap about that one I mentioned the other day, it's back on the road again now. From what I remember the spec is - cams/manifold/something about the carb on the engine, roll cage w. welded in floor plates, aluminium sump guard, leda adjustable dampers, springs are stiffer than stock but standard ride height. There's a spare pair of mud/snow tyres too. Thinking about it it might be a better car in the gravel than on the track but I'l let you decide anyway Let me know if you want the details?

eta, it's near Chorley.

routes still not finalised yet but went up there today and theres alot of nice roads up there which i need to investigate further.

instead of meeting in macclesfield we will meeting at a pub on the main road between leek and buxton called the winking man. this will be our base for the day and there will be several routes from here leading back too the pub.

we will not be heading over the cat and fiddle this time around but sticking too some of the excellent side roads where theres less traffic.

for abit of entertainment i also plan on finding somewhere close by where some of us can go and get some nice pictures/footage aswell and maybe offer passenger rides to other drivers. this will be middayish while some people grab some food at the pub.

It might be worth a cross posting into the Midlands section.

And I might show up again on an ad-hoc basis (family permitting - the barstewards!)

In addition to the usual convoys at Mascrat etc, I'd still be up for meeting at Macclesfield Tesco, and then having a nice leisurely convoy across the Cat N Fiddle, as most of us from this direction need to do this route anyway, so I suggest all from this direction meet here first?

A good idea?

ok,

route now sorted.

there are 2 seperate set routes both starting and finishing at the winking man. these are probably 45-60 minute drives and both routes will be done twice during the day.

ive also found a nice little triangle area up the road. the plan is when we stop for lunch those that arent bothered can come up and bring a passenger with them, do the triangle and get some nice pics/video footage at the same time.

i also thought people could go out in each other cars as a passenger but that would depend on the person really and whether they would want too do that.

convoys down from each area will still be taking place with me organising one from chesterfield and hopefully some from mascrat, stockport and stoke area as before but like scottie says if the mascrat stockport convoys want to meet at the old meet place before hand that not a problem.

it will be easier for the chesterfield and stoke convoys to go straight there though.

heres a couple of pics from today to show you what the roads are like, i.e. fantastic.

really had a nice run out today and cant wait for the 13th of may now

p.s. kirsty, can you email me so i can let you know what need to be put in the first post of the thread.
