Considering that my job is to find people new jobs why do I find it so hard to find another career for myself.
I have a crap degree from a good Uni and little other practical experience but other than that!
What on earth should I do that will get me out of a job that just bores me rigid and more importantly depresses me the more I do it?

Start your own agency and pay other people to do your job while you are on your yacht in the Med.

Thought of that and gave it a go last year. Really enjoyed it but didn't put enough money behind myself to get through the 6month lag between beginning a search and finishing a search. annoyingly.

As for what I enjoy. Cars and associated things obviously but other than that. History and military strategy, architecture and film.

Thought of seeting up a publisher for History related books, both professional/academic and popular but don't know where to begin and I'm doubtful of its viability.

I'm in the same boat so dont worry. I am now 1/2 way through an MSc in Software Engineering and about to sit my Prince 2 Project Managers Practitioners course, to what avail I dont know. I have also done the recruitment thing!! now I'm a school improvement consultant in education which also sucks!! I think the grass will always be greener.

ps I'm sure there is some good advice here somewhere!!
