156 Tyre recomendation
Discussion
Just thought I would let you know what I thought of the new tyres on the 156 2.4 JTD SW Veloce.
I have had two sets of Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s now and I thought they were really good, I tried various pressure in them but they still left the 156 a little crashy over mid bend bumps.
I have just put a set of BF Goodrich G-Force Profilers on as a replacement for the above, I've got to say I actually think they are better than the F1s for the 156, they are quieter, smoother, just as grippy wet or dry, I think because they may have a slightly softer sidewall they don't skip and crash on mid bend bumps, could be wrong, but that is what they feel like. A really good tyre, just have to see how long they will last.

Thanks for that.
I've got a bit of a tyre crisis coming on - I need Y rated tyres, but the sizes I need mean that Pirelli are the only people who make them for front and back, but they apparently have none in the country and no clear idea when they will have.
So it looks like I might have to put different makes on front and back, which I'd rather not.

No Z Rated tyre available, more around so will be cheaper & a greater choice.

Interesting.
I've run quite a wide range of tyres on the two 156's I've had (not that I get through tyres fast, you understand...) and am currently pretty settled on P Zero Rossos on the GTA. Howeverm I run the pressures quite low - around 30 front, 32 rear - so maybe I should actually get something with a softer sidewall next. When I pump them up to recommended levels the ride quality and feel through the tyres diminishes rapidly.

Same size as my Porsche 944, I run Goodyear F1 GSD3, brilliant tyre, pair for the front last week were just under £140 all in. Rears are around £180 a pair. Very common size in Z rating hence cheap.

I'm not seeing that - the Goodyear site has the 205/55/16 as 91W and 225/50/16 as 92Y?
