These are standard spec wheels for the GTV and Spider in the Lusso spec but I think the offset is a bit large and the wheels sit too far inside the arches, this made me wonder whether they were "borrowed" for the GTV/Spider from another model?

I like them and want to keep it original but I wonder whether I should really use spacers because of, any reason why not?

Other wheels with a lower offset (like the 17" teledial style) are fitted as standard on some models so strain on bearlings shouldn't be increased in theory, should it?

GTV and Spider wheels have a different offset than 147 and 156 wheels, although they do have the same bolt pattern. The wheels you have are normal for your car.

166 wheels have a completely different bolt pattern so don't get any of those.
147 and 156 wheels are the same.

If you want to upgrade yours, you would be best doing so from a V6 GTV or Spider - like you say the 17" teledials look great.

I was sure I had seen them on another Alfa but perhaps the owner of that car acquired them and fitted to replace original wheels?

I've been looking for alternative beefier wheels but can't find anything that looks original so I'll keep the 16"s for now.

I like the Zender Sienna wheels but no point in changing from 16" to 17" and 18" are no longer made, as mentioned in the other thread.
