Very nice - I drove the Spider at the Alfa Experience day back in September, but I'd forgotten just how pretty it was until I saw one in the showroom a couple of weeks back.

I found the diesel to be the best engine in the Brera, but I know what you mean about having reservations over a diesel engined convertible.

Hope you enjoy it!

I live in the Netherlands and diesel is about 35p a litre cheaper than unleaded. I do about 15000 a year so there should be some savings.

It was a choice between the diesel and the 2.2jts and I actually think the diesel is the better of the two. Can be chipped to between 240-270bhp without much stress as well

Sounds like the better choice then

ENJOY!

The diesel is easily the best engine choice. That 2.4jtdm unit is absolutely bloody brilliant.

The 3.2V6 is a travesty of an engine and an insult to Alfa V6s.

I believe both MonkeyMatt and myself used a phrase roughly similar to "What an absolutely f**king worthless pile of S**t" after we drove the 3.2 droptop at the Alfa day last yr.
