...barring anything catastrophic happening, i should be buying my XJR!

i've done my research, HPI-checked the car (all clear), and am happy with everything.

it's a 2000 on a w-plate, with 58000 miles on the clock. last serviced in january, new tyres too. i'm aware of all the nikasil (as it's a 2000 car, i don't think i need to worry about it), timing chain and water pump issues. i don't know if these last two were ever changed on the car, but i know it should have the 2nd generation timing chain tensioners, so hopefully i should be ok, at least for some time to come... i also might be able to find out if the work was done, if i manage to get in touch with the previous owner (it's not him selling the car, it's a dealer).

any last minute tips anyone can impart, on what i should pay particular attention to, before i part with my cash...

will post again with more details and pics if it all goes ahead tomorrow, fingers crossed!
