Hi folks,

I took the mrs car out last night and noticed a very loud noise when approaching 80ish on the motorway. It seems to come from the vent on top of the dash and wondered if anyone else has experienced this and knows of a cure?
Thanks in advance
alex

strange doings are in our midst.
Took the car for a good blast last night, often reaching speeds where this would typically have been a problem......and no noise.

I am beginig to suspect iut doesnt happen if the car has been warmed up properly before hitting 3 digits - is this possible?

I've found that some mini's do generate wind noise above 0.7 leptons. Unfortunately you'll never get a dealer to allow a staff member out with you to prove that anything above 70mph will make a noise because as we know you run the risk of immediate death & serious injury at 71mph.

Was there much wind? It often makes the noise worst at high speed when its windy, but if theres no wind sometimes theres no noise

This is outrageous! a car bought from new with a fault that only manifests over 70mph will never be fixed! I cant believe the cheek.

If this proves to be the case when we take it in to be serviced i will camp outside the stealership to warn people off making a purchase.

Just my little rant for the day
