If anyone has any soft compound used slicks they are trying to get rid of please let me know. We use them on a sled which is used to put rubber down on the dragstrip at Shakespeare County Raceway before we glue it. We can probably arrange collection from most places.
Thanks
Why do they have to be slick. Won't old road tyres do?
what do you mean by soft? We have used A11 compound tyres but these are full circuit race slicks, not sprint/hillclimb soft.
Any slick that is soft enough to spread a bit of rubber on the strip when dragged by our sled will help. The harder compounds tend to polish the surface rather than put rubber down. However we will always find a use for them. Send me a pm if you have some to dispose of.
I'll have a look at what we've got at the moment and let you know.
i am also after some 14" tyres slick as you like for a track day mr 2
anyone??
