No experience necessary - but being able to read in a car without getting sick is essential

This is an endurance event, not an all out speed event - though we do tend to go for it a bit. Takes place on the 17th - 21st of September - 2 days travel time needed either side. Starts in Angouleme, France, ends in Santiago de Campostella, Spain.

For all the details check out the website:

Navigators job (I've done it before) takes a lot of concentration and mental arithmatic, but is a lot of fun.

The event is over superb and empty mountain roads and stunning scenery. 45 cars entered, all either kit cars, handbuilt cars or low production production cars (Caterhams, Smarts etc).

My car is a Stylus (bit like a Fisher Fury) with doors, roof and heater (not that we should need it!). 300bhp of Nissan engine under the bonnet - should be finsihed within a few weeks.

Please note - this job is navigating only - no driving - navigating is done using a Brantz rally timer and tulip diagrams, no maps - you will need to come to Sussex and do a day out in my car nearer the time for a practice.

Cost is £625 for 5 nights hotel dinner, breakfast, awards ceremony and marshalls, rally numbers etc. You can add the same amount again to share all other costs - hotels before and after, ferry, fuel, and lunches, beers etc. Recon around £1400 for the lot - a bargain for a weeks well orgainsed motorsport in Europe.

It's been running 10 years now and is very well organised - no boy racers in supercars - mostly 30-60 year olds in small fast sports cars. It's taken seriously but there is a great atmosphere and good times in the bar in the evenings

I did it 2 years ago as a navigator and loved every minute of it - hence I've built a car to drive it in this year.

If your seriously interested - and the full booking fee needs to be paid within a few weeks - then reply to this with your contact details. Questions welcomed..... BTW - the rally is already full this year if you're thinking of taking your own car, but the organisers have a stand at the Kit Car show at Stoneleigh on Sunday/Monday 6th 7th May and I'll be there too.
