i've been reading through the posts from the last few months and have some opinions i'd like to express.

many of you either love or loathe the HSVs.

You call our utility vehicles (utes) pickups and label them as insane vehicles, created by lunatics.

some of you refer to poor build quality, tacky interiors, high price, poor performance...

well these cars are designed for australian conditions primarily. that consists of sh!t roads (many of which are unsealed) or on the other extreme long journeys on bitumen. Our standard fuel here is a pitiful 91RON with PULP around 94RON and hence high compression cannot be standard. What is wrong with the interiors of a post VT series 2 HSV. And as for price, these cars are not built in asian sweat shop style of operation but 5000+ young australians get paid good wages to work their arses off to produce a Holden vehicle every 76 seconds.

These cars ( and Fords FPV/FPR range ) are the closest thing a lot of us Australians are ever going to get to our beloved V8 Supercar Championship Series

PS if you want a race bred Holden instead of some feature ridden 2 door commodore wannabe then check out the HRT 427 at
