Where can I get the spray oil for re-oiling the filter? I know I can get it on fleebay but the postage is the same as the oil and I want it NOW

Cheers

I was around there last year for some other bits. Alladins cave. Forgot the filter oil, wasn't sure they did it though.

You can get the K&N one from Halfods if you are in a rush.

Halfrauds don't have any and if they did, you have to join the AA as part of the package

Halfrauds squeaky voiced teens are fun to play with.

Ask them for a thermostat for a Classic Beetle,
or perhaps some wiper blades for your Atom,

It was quite funny the other day when I called into Halfrauds.

One of the youg assistants there came out to the Atom as I left the shop. He told me how he loved them and how he longed for one. After chatting for about 5 minutes he said, "what is it", hmmmmm

has you car got an air flow meter, or is it speed density ecu controlled?

just saying because trapped oil air filters will kill the airflow meter

I'm not sure Gareth, perhaps I'll ask the man from Halfrauds

There is a sensor inside the airbox!

I haven't replaced or even cleaned the airfilter for 18 nobths so I thought it was time I did. The air filter is sealed in with silicone and started to break up when I attempted to remove it so I rang Ariel to discover if I could buy one locally. I thought it might have been a regular filter but £57 later proved it wasn't!!!

All joking aside, halfords do have the K&N one. The key is not to over oil the filters. For all purposes other than noise a paper filter will be just as good and safer!
