Hello Chaps,

I've a late 94 Griffith 500 which has a relatively high clutch bitting point. Is the Clutch adjustible or does it adjust itself until it wears out? If so how much is a new one?

Cheers,

Dave C.

Not adjustable as it is hydraulic.. Use it until it starts slipping. Budget around £700 ish for a new one.

Sometimes when I put my foot down in 5th there seems to be a slight hesitation when the revs rise before drive takes over, could be all in my imagination or could it be the clutch on it's way out? Or am i just used to the Cerbera's instance response and the Griff's not quite the same. Your comments would be welcomed!

One way to tell is to see how firmly the clutch pulls the revs down if you change up and hold the revs up while you engage the clutch. It should pull the revs down immediately (with a jolt) if you take your foot right off the clutch, even if you have some power on.

Tried that and seemed to make a loud squeek when I did it!

V8Developments do a high torque motor sport clutch for about £300 plus fitting (around £200) and it's a big improvement over the original.
