Don't suppose anyone in the Essex area has one that I could borrow this weekend? Need to lift about 50kgs up 3-4 metres and I don't fancy doing it with ladders (I have scaffolding in place). MachineMart etc don't seem to have the required kit to do the job.

Try ilford plant hire in Rainham.
know anyone with a landrover - most of them will have a turfer or block and tackle. failing that - just tie the rope round the scaffolding and to the front of the landy. Reverse landy and the load goes up. Job done.
Works well for pulling over trees.
