Were taking a small Paddling pool, which is not a swimming pool. for the baby to play in, and also to bath in. If anyone tries to tell us otherwise, they will have the wrath of mrs V to deal with, as Baby V loves to paddle in the water.
Baby P loves to paddle in water too. So I'm taking my paddling pool.
Yes, baby P is me

watch out, it was a 1000 Euro fine last year and they (I believe at one point) had the helicopters spotting for them as it was drought season.
Very difficult to tell them you didn't fill up the pool from the tap when even the most basic one is well about 1000 litres....
You have been warned.

I'm not that bothered at all TBH, as we've had our tents flooded enough times when people have emptyed them out without thinking where the all the water is gonna end up !

And just how is a private event like Le Mans going to extract 1000 euro's from anyone inside ? I for one never carry more than 150 euro's with me, and only have access to about 300 euro's via Card.
All they can do is kick you out of the circuit. Im sure if the Boys from LM came in with the heavies and tried to evict someone Camping with a 1 meter x 30 cm paddling pool for their 18 month old child to play in that would be the absolute definition of pettyness, and I for one would see they got as much bad press as possible. Knowing the comaradry (sp) that happens at Le Mans too, I would have thought the rest of the Brits would be disgusted too.

Isn't the issue that it is a locally-imposed hosepipe ban and nothing to do with 'the boys from LM'? So you are getting a council fine in effect.

Well, the drought is over here too at the moment and rain forecast for the rest of the week. However, remember that water used to be included in your camping but the ACO paid for it themselves out of your money. Then pools started coming in and I well remember one of the ACO directors saying that if you wanted to put up pools he was going to put meters on every tap so you'd pay for drinking too. The ACO is serious about stamping out excesses and cheating (just look at the new bar coded entry passes as an example) so, while I have no idea how they are planning to police the issue, I'd personally advise leaving the pool at home. But the idea of a pool inside the tent appeals somehow..........

This year, just like last year, we're taking a bloody big tent.
Perhaps we could put the pool inside one end of the tent and have an indoor pool this year?
