Quote from an e-mail I received from a friend of mine this week.

"Had lunch with McRae (Colin) a couple of weeks ago and he was telling me you have ordered a new Noble. Tried the 3.0 litre one recently, absolutely loved it. It's the best sports car chassis wise I think I've driven. Only thing close is GT2 and the F40. All round and value for money nothing come close".

Cheers,
Marino Franchitti.

It's really not a case of being smug.

This is a guy I know (through my business)who is a professional racing driver giving his comments on driving a Noble.

I felt it would benefit anyone visiting this site who is interested in either making a purchase of an M12 GTO, or already has done so.

Obviously my post was a bit too obscure. The point I was trying to make was that since these professional drivers rate the Noble so highly, anyone that owns one can feel great about this. I was hoping that the SMUG mode comment would be seen as that as well as being humourous. I guess not then, oh well.

I was talking to Monsieur Smug, not to you .

By the way having seen the shots of the Pagani Roadster, would you say there is some visual similarity with the Noble GTC.

I think that most of us got the SMUG comment for what it was - humourous (and there was a smiley attached!)- some people understand email-etiquette better than others - n'est pas!

MONSIUER UNSMUGNESS!

Doh, point taken guys. Sorry for missing your point tuscansix. I was debating with myself which way you meant smug.

I think the 2 smaller rear wings from the Zonda Roadster would look cool on either the GTC or the 3R ?

Interesting that you thought the Noble was similar to the F40. Having had a brief but highly enlightening ride in a friends F40 (in the passenger seat only I'm afraid) and then a test drive both as passenger and driver in a GTO3 I must say that I agree 100%. They both have that paired to the bone feel, both corner amazingly flat, both have that fantastic twin turbo howl. - sorry I'm starting to drool again! And both feel like they are rocket propelled.
What a fantastic achievement for Lee and the boys at Noble. - Ferrari's finest? drivers car meet Britain's finest drivers car!. Wouldnt it be nice to see them head to head on a track.
Has anybody else noticed the similarities - or am I barking?
PS Picking up my new GTO3 this week. Cant wait!

Ah - just the odd one or two things then!

I've got massive widthdrawal symptoms - and the Elise isn't helping them at all!
